작가 선주연의 작업은 사회적인 문제와 개인적인 경험의 범주에 들어있다. 주로 그의 작품들은 공공장소에서 경시되는 소통에 관한 것들이다. 그는 사람들은 보통의 삶 속에서 소통을 부족하고 그들이 놓치고 있는 물리적인 상호작용에 대해 알지 못하고 있다고 말한다. 작가는 공간과 인간의 경험적인 측면에서 작품을 통해 직・ 간접적으로 관중들에게 상호작용을 유발하고 이 문제를 좀 더 인지하도록 하고자 유도한다. - 선주연

The theme of jooyoun' work ranges from the social context to individual experience. all of her works are related to undervalued communication in public space. she has noticed that people lack communication in their daily life and they are unaware of the physical human interaction that they are missing. through her focus on space and human experience, she aims to stimulate audience interaction and awareness of things in public experience. - jooyoun sun
