Designverse Awards is the world’s first design ecosystem big data research award, dedicated to honoring design institutions, enterprises, organizations, and individuals that have made outstanding contributions to the greater design industry chain in the fields of space design (architecture, landscape, interior, technical consultancy, professional consultancy, specialized consultancy), product design (product design, product branding), and social innovation (brands, events). The award aims to drive sustainable development across the global design industry.

04 Evaluation Mechanism (Evaluation Process & Final Jury Panel)

The Designverse Awards evaluation mechanism consists of two stages: preliminary data-based review (relying on statistical analysis, search, and ranking of global design industry information) and final selection through voting by a final jury panel composed of industry leaders and renowned experts.

Source Description: The candidate list is generated from multiple sources, including Designverse Ranking, Designverse platform search & IP section rankings, and comprehensive online public opinion analysis. Additionally, part of the list is derived from industry nominations and self-submissions.

Evaluation Process

1. First Stage: Preliminary Data-Based Review → Nomination Prize, Special Honor Prize

The Designverse Big Data Research Center supports the awards committee by leveraging global design industry data for statistical analysis, search rankings, and references. This process helps generate the Nomination Prize (unlimited quota) and Special Honor Prize (Top 4–6 in each tertiary subcategory).

  • A. Space Category (architectural design, landscape design, interior design): Evaluation references include Designverse platform search results, Designverse Ranking, and comprehensive online public opinion analysis data.
  • B. Space Category (technical consultants, professional consultants, specialized consultants): Evaluation references include Designverse platform search results and related information from Designverse Ranking for the architecture, landscape, and interior subcategories, as well as comprehensive online public opinion analysis and industry designer nominations.
  • In the 2026 Designverse Ranking, the Top 10 design firms in each tertiary subcategory under all secondary subcategories of architectural design, landscape design, and interior design are eligible to nominate institutions in the technical, professional, and specialized consultant categories, with a limit of two nominations per firm.
  • C. Product Category: The Designverse Big Data Research Center gathers reference data for evaluation through Designverse platform searches, online e-commerce platforms, and multidimensional public opinion analysis.
  • D. Brands/Major Events Category: This category is evaluated through comprehensive coverage of various sources, including traditional media, online/new media, social media, and forums. A continuously updated database enables tracking, integration, and analysis of brand digital assets, online public sentiment, communication volume, and activity concentration related to design-focused brands and major events. These insights contribute to the overall IP section ranking on the Designverse platform, which serves as a key criterion for the awards.
  • E. Self-submitted and other sourced projects: All self-submitted institutions, projects, and those from other sources are evaluated based on criteria A-D, utilizing Designverse platform search rankings and Designverse Ranking as evaluation references.

2. Second Stage: Final Jury Panel Voting Selection → Jury Grand Prize, Outstanding Prize

The final jury panel votes based on three core criteria: Innovation (40%), Sustainability (30%), and Social Impact (30%) to determine the Jury Grand Prize (Top 3 in each tertiary subcategory) and the Outstanding Prize (22 outstanding selections across all subcategories).

Final Jury Panel

The final jury panel consists of 36 global industry leaders and renowned experts, including 12 representatives from international development institutions, 12 representatives from domestic development institutions, and 12 representatives from internationally recognized and well-known domestic brands.

The panel members possess deep insights into the design industry ecosystem, extensive collaborative experience, unique judgment, a global perspective, and expertise in leading acclaimed projects. They evaluate entries through a scoring system combined with written comments, selecting winners for the Jury Grand Prize in the Space, Space - Concept, Product, Product - Concept, and Brands/Major Events categories. From these, the final jury panel further selects 22 Outstanding Prize winners, distributed as follows: 6 in the Space Category (architecture, landscape, interior, technical consultant, professional consultant, specialized consultant), 6 in the Space Category - Concept (architecture, landscape, interior, technical consultant, professional consultant, specialized consultant), 4 in the Product Category (Residential, Office, Social and Leisure, Transportation), 4 in the Product - Concept Category (Residential, Office, Social and Leisure, Transportation), and 2 in the Brands/Major Events Category (corporate/brand, regional/city, international project, domestic project).
